Wilbert Sluiter, the chairman of th eboard of the foundation will visit The Gambia next week, from the 8th of Marh with his wife Judith.
The main theme of our legal advisors visit in January was waterwells, 12 in total.
This visit we will help plant as many fruit trees as possible. Regular trees are often (illegally) cut for firewood purposes, but planting fruit trees:
- Is a healthy and free food source for the future
- Teaches (kids) to nourish a plant for future gain
- Stimulates creating a garden
- Improves soil
- Provides shade for people and/or livestock
- Improves the environment as a CO2 collector
We will plant: coconut, avocado, orange, mango, paw paw and other trees.
But we could use your help plant as many this time as possible with the motto
The best time to plant a tree is 10 years ago, but second best is today!

A bay tree costs €4 and two days of work for the average Gambian.
If you would like to help with planting, 5 10 or more trees (but of course even one will help) please donate €20 or €40 on our foundations bank account
